Lenten Series
St. Paul's Episcopal Church will hold special Lenten services and events.
- Stations of the Cross, a reflective and prayerful walk following the steps of Jesus to Golgotha within the church's nave, is conducted every Friday at noon during Lent from February 19 through March 26.
- Weekdays, Morning Prayer continues to be said Monday through Saturday at 9:00am in the Chapel.
- Weekday Eucharists include a Wednesday 7:00am service and a Thursday Healing Service and Eucharist at 9:30am.
The public is cordially invited.
A special series of four Wednesday evening events during Lent include 6:00pm Eucharists followed by potluck suppers at 6:30pm and then special topics featured at 7:00pm. The theme for Lent 2010 is "God the Holy Spirit--Compassion, Prayer, Wonder and Gift." - February 24 is devoted to "Compassion: An Evening with Haiti,".
- March 3rd features "Prayer-The Spirit Intercedes."
- Then, on March 17th, the topic is "Wonder: Youth dinner and special Magic show."
The March 17th supper is also in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The cost for this special dinner and magic show is $5 per person or $20 per family. - On March 24, an "Evensong in celebration of the Annunciation" will be held in the church with the St. Paul's choir performing under the direction of Charles M. Banks. The Reverend Andrew C. Hamersley, rector, will be the Officiant.
