John Gardner (1917-2011) was an English composer of classical choral and orchestral music. "Tomorrow shall be my dancing day," his best-known composition, was written for the Choir of St Paul’s Girls School in West London where John Gardner was Director of Music in the 1960s (following in the tradition of Gustav Holst at the school).
